Framebag

Framebags are always designed and sewn to the size of your bike, which allows you to make the most of the space in the frame.

Framebag allows you to transfer the weight of your luggage to the lowest possible and central point of the bike's geometry. This helps to optimally distribute the center of gravity of the luggage. This is great solution for transporting food, kitchen accessories, tools, etc.

By ordering from Pathfinder, you get a fully personalized design, perfectly tailored to your needs.

It is also possible to order a Half-Framebag, mounted under the top tube, with space for water bottles. It is sewn with the same solutions as a full Framebag.

In every bag you can choose the color of the outer material, lining, stitching and details, as well as the arrangement of mounting points or unusual functions.

Key Features

- Framebag can be made of waterproof Cordura® or X-Pac® fabric

- lining made of waterproof coated polyester fabric

- the key seams of the bag are sealed (with flexible, waterproof, non-brittle glue), which significantly improves its water resistance and durability

- outer rim made of Cordura® material, stiffened with 5 mm foam, which protects both the frame against hard objects inside the bag and objects inside from hitting the frame

- the standard bag is single-chamber with drive side access

- flat pocket on the non-drive side

- output for a cable, e.g. from a powerbank or a water bladder tube

- durable webbings from Polish brand Pasamon®

- ITW Nexus® plastic elements

- waterproof zippers

Additional solutions, other than those described above, may be charged additionally.

additional Features

- flat internal organizer / pockets

- additional loops, pockets or carabiners inside

- braided paracord assembly on the top tube (instead of Velcro)

- additional flaps protecting the zippers along the entire length

- additional, second zipper puller

Each bag is made according to individually selected colors. You can  choose contrasting stitching, webbings and interior color. These details do not affect the price.

If you need other solutions, such as unusual width, access on the left side or additional partitions, just contact me.

Each framed bag is made to measure. To create and fit your frame, photos must be taken in accordance with the following guidelines.

The instruction may seem long, but should take 5-10 minutes.

1. Place the bike against the wall or other flat and solid surface that best contrasts with the color of the frame.

2. Remember to position the bike with drive side facing camera, and set the crank arms so they do not obstruct the frame.

3. Attach a tape measure with a visible and readable scale from seat post to the handlebar or stem. It's best to use metal, construction tape. If possible, do not use a tape measure, as these stretch over time and lose their accuracy. Place the measure parallel to the ground as much as possible.

4. Take a landscape photo with the bike frame in the center, so that both wheels are in the frame while preserving the space around the bike. It is usually best to crouch down to catch the correct height of the frame.

5. Do not use wide-angle lens / mode when taking pictures as it bends the image and values.

6. Take another photo from same or similar perspective, but closer to the frame triangle with the previously glued tape measure.

7. If the frame has visible elements that mey conflict the placement of the Velcro straps, take another photo. Make sure that the ruler does not cover any important elements (e.g. frame curvature, mounting points, eyelets, etc.)

8. Take the same photos on the other non-drive side of the bike as well.

9. Make sure that the photos are of the highest possible resolution, clear, sharp, blur-free and properly exposed. The better the quality of the photos, the better the bag will fit.

10. Please send photos in the highest resolution to the e-mail address with the title containing the order number.

After collecting the dimensions, I'll create a project and then send it to you for self-printing in order to check the dimensions and fit. After accepting the template, I'll proceed to the next stage of implementation.

I make every effort to ensure that the fabrics in my products are sewn as carefully, and properly as possible. I made bags with waterproof Cordura® fabric 1000D or at least 500D (only for colors that are not available in 1000D) and X-Pac® VX21.

The linings in all my bags are also waterproof. However, you should have in mind that each bag that is sewn (not hot glued or heat sealed) will not be 100% waterproof due to the micro-holes of the needle. Method of sewing (stitch density and stitch length), as well as the design where I try to minimize the number of stitches to the minimum necessary, have an impact on how the bags handles in the rain. However, you have to remember that during many hours or very heavy rain, moisture can get inside by soaking the sewn places.

Larger bags that I sew, such as Framebags or Rollbox, are additionally sealed at the seams in key points.
